DULUTH (CBS 3) – CBS 3 Duluth morning anchor Kristen Vake is taking on a new role. Vake will now anchor CBS 3 News at 6 and 10.
Vake joins Edward Moody at the desk beginning Monday, September 10th.
Kristen says although she’s excited about the move, she’ll miss the morning team.
“This move is bittersweet. The last two years have been an adventure alongside my co-anchors and friends, Briggs LeSavage and Meteorologist Austin Haskins,” says Vake.
Vake has been the morning anchor since the newscast first launched in August of 2016, and has won a first-place award for Best Feature Story in the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Awards.
“Kristen is a strong and committed journalist who knows news and knows the community,” says CBS 3 news director Kevin Jacobsen. “She has proven herself with her weekly reporting on the mining industry and her daily connection with viewers. She will be a fantastic addition to CBS 3 in the evenings.”
Vake, a Chisholm native, will join Moody, as well as sports anchor Kelly Hinseth and meteorologist Dave Anderson on CBS 3 News at 6 and 10.
